Project Description
Project required the production and casting of 5.750 cub.m concrete (for the basin, concrete weight blocks, intake head, etc.), 23.000 cub.m of excavation (for both basin and trench excavation), 25.000 cub.m of backfilling (for both temporary protected reclamation, basin and trench), all offshore works required for the installation of pipes, intake heads, warning system, cathodic protection, etc.

Two rows of 644 m long 1400 mm diameter HDPE intake pipes were supplied by SIDEM.
Scope of Work

Execution of all necessary surveys, like seven borings (3 onshore + 4 offshore) as part of geotechnical surveys and topographical and bathymetric surveys to define site conditions.

Design studies to enable the final design of the system.
Detailed structural design, material supply and construction of reinforced concrete basin with two intake channels, including excavation as the structure is buried.
Detailed structural design, material supply and construction of reinforced concrete reject brine outlet
Works related to the laying of two rows of 644 m long 1400mm diameter HDPE intake pipes (total 1288 m) and their end connections, including the construction of the temporary protected reclamation of 200 m long, trench excavation of first 270m section, casting and installation of concrete weight blocks required for sinking and pipe protection, backfilling of first 207m section.
Works related to the laying of two rows of 644 m long 100mm diameter HDPE chlorination pipes and their end connections,
