The objective of the ACG Produced Water Project was to protect the ACG declared reservoir depletion plan by providing a technical, environmentally sound, and economical method of disposing of the produced water from the ACG field. Failure to do so would result in the loss of oil reserves during the life of the PSA.
The Produced Water Project disposed of roughly 250MMstb of produced water within the timeframe of the PSA.
Produced water rates from ACG are expected to be in excess of 50 Mbd by 2010. The development concept included the installation of a 190 km pipeline from the onshore terminal to existing offshore injection facilities. The onshore facilities comprised a new produced water storage tank, chemical injection skid, filter skid, produced water treatment package, pipeline pig launcher, pipeline pressure protection system, metering station, and a pipeline pumping station.
TML was responsible for all necessary construction, erection and testing including but not limited to the supply of all transport, storage, handling, preservation, temporary piping, seals, erection, welding, dimensional control, inspection, testing, non-destructive testing, final testing and pre-commissioning, provision of test mediums (excluding hydrotest water), disposal of waste, removal of scrap, removal of surplus materials, material re-conciliation, re-instatement of the site, as-built drawings and dossiers.
