The project included the construction of a 490 m long and 42 m wide 2x3 vehicular lanes and 2x1 walkways bridge supported by 114 tubular steel piles 2 m in diameter, with lengths extending down to 80 m below water level, which was on of the largest foundation system of the World.
The deck consisted of two 193 m parts prestressed reinforced concrete double deckers supported by tubular steel piles and a 2 x 40.5 m span bascule supported by two reinforced concrete caissons of 5,500 tonnes built underwater on tubular steel piles.
