Key features of Work Scope:

The scope of work included;
    · Excavation around the conveyor belt column pedestal up to the required depth necessary for maintenance,
    · Backfilling, levelling and compacting of the area surrounding each column pedestal,
    · Hauling and disposal of damaged concrete and steel reinforcement to the assigned area determined by LISCO,
    · Electro-mechanical and hand demolition of reinforced concrete for the damaged breakwater walls, bearing in mind the concrete cover shall be at least 4 cm for the steel reinforcement,
    · Electro-mechanical and hand demolition of reinforced concrete for the conveyor belt columns pedestals,
    · Prepare and fixing of steel reinforcement to replace the damaged steel bars in addition to the sand blasting or wire brush cleaning for the remaining steel bars as per BS standards,
    · Cutting, removal and replacing of damaged anchor bolts and nuts for the conveyor belt pedestals according to the technical specification and as-built drawings,
    · Painting application by means of Brrafer or equivalent material for the above mentioned steel reinforcement,
    · Providing and casting of ready mix concrete required for the maintenance of breakwater crown walls and conveyor belt pedestals columns after the application of necessary admixture for preventing corrosion and as concrete bonding agent, affected expansion joint to be repaired using approved material,
    · Grouting for columns foundations as required,
    · Adding an extra tetra pods available on LISCO site to the north side breakwater after carrying the required survey work and approval of LISCO,
    · Crack Repairs,
    · Repair of Honey Combed Concrete,
    · Repair of Deteriorated Utility Openings,
    · Repair of Slab Soffits.
