Key features of Work Scope:

Scope of works consisted of;
      · Works related to the laying of two rows of 1400 mm diameter HDPE with lengths of 644 m and 657 m respectively and their end connections, including the construction of the temporary protected reclamation of 200 m long, trench excavation of first 270 m section, casting and installation of concrete weight blocks required for sinking and pipe protection, backfilling of first 207 m section,
      · Execution of all necessary surveys; seven borings (3 onshore + 4 offshore) as part of geotechnical surveys and topographical and bathymetric surveys to define site conditions,
      · Design studies to enable the final design of the system,
      · Detailed structural design, material supply and construction of reinforced concrete basin with two intake channels, including excavation as the structure is buried,
      · Detailed structural design, material supply and construction of reinforced concrete reject brine outlet,
      · Works related to the laying of two rows of 644 m long 110 mm diameter HDPE chlorination pipes and their end connections,
      · Detailed structural design, material supply, precasting and installation of two offshore intake heads,
       · Design, supply and installation of offshore warning system,
       · Design, supply and installation of cathodic protection system, if required,

Globally, the project required;
      1. Production and casting of 5.750 m3 concrete (for the basin, concrete weight blocks, intake head, etc.),
      2. 23.000 m3 of excavation (for both basin and trench excavation),
      3. 25.000 m3 of backfilling (for both temporary protected reclamation, basin and trench),
      4. All offshore works required for the installation of pipes, intake heads, warning system, cathodic protection, etc.,
      5. Two rows of 644 m long 1400 mm diameter HDPE intake pipes was supplied by SIDEM.
